Mark Your Calendar—IKEA Is Having Its Black Friday Sale Early This Year
And these deals will convince you to stop procrastinating on present shopping.
Although IKEA doesn't have a traditional Black Friday sale, the store's annual "Make Room for Celebration" sale is the next best thing. Except for its big kitchen sale, IKEA isn't known for having many sales throughout the year, so if you had plans for this weekend, you're going to want to cancel them ASAP. This year, the one-day event is scheduled for this Saturday, November 10, with discounts running all weekend long.
On both Saturday and Sunday, IKEA stores will be giving out coupons to get $25 off in-store purchases of $150 or more. Hitting that $150 mark shouldn't be hard at all—you can stock up on designers' favorite buys from IKEA, or better yet, stock up on affordable holiday gifts you can give to everyone on your list. In addition to discounts and deals, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, IKEA stores will also have in-store activities, such as a DIY paper flower workshop and a lesson on how to set a table.
And for those with an IKEA Family membership, the deals get even better. Early birds, rejoice: the first 100 IKEA Family members to show their card in stores will receive a 20-piece FORNUFT flatware set. In each store, two winners will receive a $100 gift card as part of a "Scan to Win" giveaway. But don't worry if you don't win—there are also discounts on specific items throughout the store, such as 20 percent off select sofa beds (LYCKSELE, FRIHETEN, HOLMSUND, NYHAMN), 20 percent off HENRIKDAL chairs, 20 percent off select bakeware (hello, Christmas cookie supplies!), and 25 percent off 365+ dinnerware sets.
Because no trip to IKEA would be complete without a stop for some food, stores will also be giving out coupons for $5 off every $25 purchase at the Swedish Food Market. Plus, two-pound bags of meatballs will be three for $20, so you can go ahead and serve IKEA appetizers before the big turkey dinner. You just won the holiday season.
