This Is the Skincare Brand Celebs Swore by for Golden Globes Prep
Get glowing skin with the help of this A-list esthetician and her celeb-approved skincare products.
Aside from lavish digs and a dedicated beauty squad committed to pampering you at a moment's notice, perhaps the most envy-inducing aspect to Hollywood life includes a celebrity's near-perfect skin. You know the look: It's that difficult-to-ignore glow that must come as a result of either pricey products, regular sleep, gallons of water, or just plain wizardry. Fortunately, with a little help from Instagram, we stumbled upon the skincare sorceress responsible for many an actress' desirable pores.
Leading up to Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony, our Instagram feeds were flooded with a glimpse into all of the pre-party prep that comes with walking the red carpet. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan posted an Instagram story revealing exactly how she got glam with the help of celeb-revered esthetician Joanna Vargas.
"It only looks terrifying," Brosnahan captioned the photo. "@joannavargasnyc & her magical tools are the dreamiest."
In it, the award-winning actress is on the receiving end of The Joanna Vargas Supernova facial—a $325 anti-aging treatment that utilizes microcurrents and cryotherapy to increase skin circulation, oxygenation and drainage. The result? A Golden Globes glow that shows.
Brosnahan isn't the only A-lister who seeks the help of Vargas to look her awards show best. Mandy Moore reportedly visited Joanna Vargas's Los Angeles salon last year to prep for the Golden Globes, and fans of the skincare guru and her line of anti-aging products include Elisabeth Moss, Greta Gerwig and Debra Messing.
Even if you're not prepping an acceptance speech, you can still achieve spa-worthy results with the help of Vargas's line of renowned skincare products. In an interview with Variety, Vargas suggested sleeping in her exfoliating mask ($75; net-a-porter.com) to "even out pigment and take down inflammation." Additional tried-and-true products include Joanna Vargas Rescue Serum ($150; net-a-porter) and the Forever Glow Anti-Aging Face Mask ($75 for 5; net-a-porter.com), which boasts ingredients like ginkgo biloba and olive leaf extract to help smooth and renew your skin.
Clearly the results-driven line is a favorite among celebs for good reason. Still craving more skincare tips? Read up on the one anti-aging ingredient that's proving to be a major player among dermatologists.
